welding

Welding provides an excellent opportunity for creative people who like
to work with their hands. It is a challenging career with above average
pay. Welders learn and apply many different skills. In addition to
welding, they need to be able to layout material, calculate
requirements, and be aware of quality assurance criteria. A good welder
also knows something about welding symbols, blueprint reading,
metallurgy, welding inspection, and knows how he/she factors into the
overall operation. See what the
American Welding Society (AWS) has to say about a career in welding
(requires Adobe Flash Player).
