Production managers are responsible for helping their
facility meet production goals using the most timely and cost-efficient
methods available, while still producing quality products in a physically
safe and environmentally responsible manner. Production managers determine
personnel and capital resources, research and evaluate options in processes
or machinery that will improve productivity, oversee and adjust manpower
needs to meet production goals, monitor the production runs for quality
issues and develop budgets and spending plans.
